Mike Deaton

Mike describes himself as a performer, teacher and music facilitator. He enjoys bringing interactive music and arts programs to all ages. He also likes quiet time in nature and has a passion for literacy and early childhood education.

Mike is married to Melissa who is a local child and teen therapist who also facilitates groups. “Together, we have worked with ages birth to 104, including groups of seniors, grief camps with children who have lost loved ones, board rooms, churches, and many other settings.”

Mike grew up in Bridgewater and loves being surrounded by the mountains, parks, and nationals forests. Mike is not a “newbie” at Green Valley - As a child I spent many happy Friday nights at Green Valley Auctions with my dad, who was an avid bidder.”

When asked what he enjoys at Green Valley, Mike says that he enjoys the routine mixed with constantly learning about new things, antiques and implements, and increasing his vocabulary daily. “It's also like being part of a show. It feels good when the team completes the week's auctions and everything happens on time. The team has been great and I appreciate the opportunity to bring my curiosity and love of research, as well as specific knowledge of 80's toys and other classic items.”
