Sponsorship with Hawassa Hope

In February 2026 Elizabeth and I had the privilege of travelling with Hawassa Hope for our 5th trip to the Sidama region of Ethiopia. In the next few months I will share about our trip - what we do and why.

Through all these installments, it is my hope that you will see not only how emotionally and physically exhausting this trip is, but also why we can’t wait to go back. It is my desire that you will see the Hope that is being felt and seen in the areas that we travel, and that you will have a better understanding of Hawassa Hope’s impact through their multiple initiatives.

In this first article, I am sharing about Community Sponsorship with Hawassa Hope. It is my hope, that when you look at a picture of a child waiting for sponsorship, that you will have an understanding that it’s not just about putting food on the table, it’s about changing the trajectory of a life and bringing Hope to a family and a community.
